For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1980s Cross Century Classic Fountain Pen with 14K Medium Nib. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand cleaned and polished the Gold Filled 1/20 10KT Gold Filled Overlay and 14K Gold NIB.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no dents or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the Cross Gold Filled clip with no brassing. The Gold Filled Cap and Barrel displays a wonderful gold filled color, also, with no wear. The cap is clearly stamped with, "CROSS 1/20 10KT GOLD FILLED MADE IN U.S.A.". There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Century Classic Fountain Pen measures 5 1/4" in length capped and 5 7/8" posted. clean the barrel and cap.

The Filling System uses an ink convertor that works as it is designed to. clean the barrel and cap.

This Cross 14K Medium Nib writes so smooth and almost feels like it glides across the paper. The actual tipping (iridium) of the 14K NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .83mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, the NIB writes with a medium stroke/line. The writing sample provided in the image has a medium stroke ranging from .71mm to .74mm when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink. clean the barrel and cap.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a gorgeous Cross Century Fountain Pen that has been well cared for displaying no gold fill loss or any denting. I would grade this Cross Century Classic in Excellent Condition. Certainly, a collector grade writing instrument and is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
